A Better Backyard Starts With a Better Design.
HIP designs and builds custom TimberTech composite decks shaped around your home, your property, and the way you want to enjoy the outdoors.
Not every deck builder builds the same.
A deck can meet the basic requirements and still miss the details that make it feel intentional. We focus on the details homeowners notice every day — long after the crew has left: board direction, picture-frame borders, hidden fasteners, stair layout, and fascia that lines up the first time. We're picky about symmetry and consistent reveals, because you'll be looking at them every day, not just on move-in day. Perfectly aligned decking, clean transitions, and railing details that hold their line — it's the difference between a deck that was installed and a deck that was designed.
That difference starts underneath the decking. For premium builds, we select framing material accordingly — including KDAT (Kiln-Dried After Treatment) lumber and engineered LVL beams where appropriate for the application, with application-specific ground-contact-rated lumber used for elements like stair stringers and framing close to grade. The goal is straighter, more dimensionally stable material and a flatter, more precise structure beneath the finished decking — because a deck that was designed, not just installed, starts with the framing.

Built around your home.
Every project begins with the house — not with a standard deck size. We consider your home's architecture, elevations, and siding colors alongside your landscaping, traffic flow, and the way you actually plan to use the space: entertaining, sunlight, sightlines, and views.
The finished deck should feel like it was always meant to be part of the home.

Getting to know TimberTech composite decking.
Home Improvement Partners is a Certified TimberTech Installer. Beyond installation, we help homeowners understand which composite collection fits their style, home, and budget.
TimberTech Composite decking offers a realistic wood appearance with lower maintenance than traditional wood, in a range of textures and colors to suit your home.
Legacy
Hand-Scraped Finish
A richly textured composite with a hand-scraped appearance designed to bring more depth and character to the deck surface. A strong choice when you want the decking itself to become a major part of the design.
- Whitewash Cedar
- Ashwood
- Pecan
- Tigerwood
- Mocha
- Espresso
Reserve
Reclaimed Wood
Inspired by the character of reclaimed wood, with a more rustic, time-worn visual style. It works especially well when you want warmth and noticeable wood character rather than a uniform surface.
- Driftwood
- Antique Leather
- Dark Roast
- Reclaimed Chestnut
Terrain+
Subtle Wood Grain
A cleaner, more understated wood-grain appearance. Terrain+ is a good design direction for homeowners who want a natural-looking deck without the heavier texture of the Legacy or Reserve collections.
- Weathered Oak
- Natural White Oak
- Dark Oak
Terrain
Rugged Cathedral Grain
Features a more pronounced cathedral-style grain pattern for a traditional wood-inspired appearance. Its two-color palette keeps the collection simple while still providing distinctly warm or cool design directions.
- Brown Oak
- Silver Maple
Prime+
Timeless Wood Grain
A straightforward wood-grain aesthetic with versatile colors designed to work across a wide range of home styles.
- Coconut Husk
- Dark Cocoa
- Sea Salt Gray
Available in select regions.
Prime & Premier
Painted Wood
A simpler painted-wood-inspired appearance for homeowners who prefer a clean, familiar deck aesthetic over the more heavily textured collections.
- Dark Teak
- Maritime Gray
